Quickly it comes …
Harvest Time!
It is harvesting time here in my great state. It is interesting to drive past a golden field waving in the wind one day and then the next see it short and stalky due to the teams of harvesters completing their work.
In the case of this image, I was driving past this field moments before a team arrived, waited for my son to complete his last bit of work he was doing for his boss … And then, as we drove back down the country road toward home we were offered the opportunity to watch and wait while the harvest combine did its work … Quickly it comes; suddenly it is finished. In that brief span of time, everything changed.
Quickly it comes … Attempting to keep my focus on patience and quiet (sometimes more successfully than others …) during experiences this weekend, I found my knot at the proverbial end of my rope. I realized I couldn’t do that which I had no Grace to accomplish.
