Railway Point

It can become a trainwreck of ponderings, situations and emotions when the holidays arrive … Or like — when I wake-up in the morning! ;-) After all, I am female … Isn’t that just something females do?

Seems as though when one thing begins to veer in an odd direction, the whole trainload of one’s mental inklings seem to follow in lock step; as though said notions were on one track only to be switched over to another. 8-O

Still, if one can discern the subtle squeaks of possible derailment, derailment can be managed or avoided completely. Maybe. (Said management may or may not require therapeutic doses of chocolate, white cake and.or Oreo ice cream — as well as (loud and) long talks with wise (and honest :!: ) friends and colleagues.)

This month has been a wild ride! One that has arrived at a destination that, quite frankly, came as a bit of surprise.

But I like surprises. Most of the time. ;-)

And since my branding is: eclectic and a sundryas per several members of my Advisory Board — I am just going to include another random bit of info. (You’ll have to wait for the rest of the story on my surprise destination …)

First: I will be a’travelin’ to Texas to meet relatives I have never met before; my people are an interesting lot and I love ‘em but we are of the eccentric-kind — and the Southern-kind! ;-) Therefore I will be reviewing, How To Speak Southern. (My uppity activities of late have compromised by twang.)

“Do You What Fries With That” [link] by Cheryl Smith explains one of my current concerns regarding twitterville. And I agree with GeekMommy: “… if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” (Her article linked with Cheryl Smith’s article.)

And, yep. Another P.S. follows …

P.S. Since post-chemo days, Zappos.com is where I obtain my (almost orthopedic, not-so Southern-Belle-like) shoes. My feet require ridiculous levels of arch support (as well as other assorted shoe comforts); acquiring shoes that fit that description (purely accidental pun :!: ) is a challenge in my mere semi-cosmopolitan shopping area.

And, beside who wouldn’t buy from a company who embrace the following …
